🎸 Vinyl Revelations proudly presents: 🎸
UK Decay's Rare Hometown Show at Luton's Hat Factory!
Get ready for an electrifying night as post-punk pioneers UK Decay return to their roots with a rare hometown show at Luton’s Hat Factory on Saturday, 8 November 2025. This special event coincides with the vinyl re-release of their seminal album:
For Madmen Only
This performance follows their appearance at the Forever Now Festival in June 2025 at Milton Keynes Bowl, with potentially a couple of other gigs lined up this year and possibly into 2026 – could this be the For Madmen Finale?
About UK Decay:
-
Formed in Luton in 1979, UK Decay has built an ever-growing, truly international fan base through politically charged, thunderous releases and high-intensity gigs.
-
Described as "the cult before The Cult," their dark, angular music inadvertently named and led the proto-goth movement.
For Madmen Only:
-
Originally released in 1981, For Madmen Only is the band's debut album.
-
The new vinyl version, released through Rough Trade, is pressed on heavy 180-gram vinyl and re-mastered from the original tapes.
-
The band also plans to license their two John Peel Sessions and include them along with their early singles in a future vinyl release.
Comment from Singer Abbo:
“Good to get out there again – same songs, same message, same messed-up world that we’re talking about… the hope? It will get better, and where best to start spreading that word than the centre of the World – Luton Town.”
